UPDATE:
Hotel accommodations are set.
We will be staying at the Hope
Hotel and Conference Center in Dayton OH.
(address is a bit confusing because it is right outside the
Air Force base.)
Rate is $125 + taxes a night.
Will include breakfast each morning.
Hospitality room will be
available each day.
Alcohol can be obtained at the
bar and carried to the hospitality room which is right off
the bar.
Banquet hall is reserved. Menu
will be set toward the end of 2025.
Deposit has been sent.
Trip #1, Thursday will be to the
Air Force Museum. Admission is free.
It is about 10 minutes from the hotel so transportation
costs should be minimal.
Will work with the hotel later this year to arrange that.
There are 2 cafes inside for members to buy lunch. Plan to
be there from 9-5 PM.
This place will take your breath away. It houses everything
in the history of flight.
Trip #2, Friday will be to the
Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. Estimate cost $50 +
transportation.
This will include admission to
the park and 1 hour picnic buffet in a private park
pavilion.
Transportation will be
determined later this year. Should be about an hour drive.
Plan to be an all-day event, 9-5
PM.
Thanks to my co-host, Bob, for
making the arrangements for this trip.
Bob has begun to design a pin
and find a vendor to produce it.
Need to remind you to submit any
items for discussion for the board meeting to be sent to
Norris or myself.
Not too early to start poking
someone to volunteer to head up the 2028 reunion.
